Ghislain Doyon (Val-d'Or, QC) finished 1-3 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Doyon defeated Alexandre Leduc (Valleyfield, QC) 7-4, then went on to lose 8-3 against Vincent Roberge (Levis, QC). Doyon lost 8-5 to Quebec's Pascal Girard. Doyon lost 7-6 to Frederic Lawton (Montreal, QC) in their final qualifying round match.

Doyon earned 0.750 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 24 of the event schedule, Doyon did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Doyon ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
