Dean Joanisse (Maple Ridge, BC) finished 1-3 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Joanisse lost 7-4 to Jason Montgomery (Victoria, BC), then responded with a 7-5 win over Chris Medford (Kimberley, BC). Joanisse went on to lose 7-3 against Sebastien Robillard (Port Coquitlam, BC). Joanisse lost 7-6 to Cameron de Jong (Penticton, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

Joanisse earned 0.938 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 24 of the event schedule, Joanisse did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Joanisse ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
