Aileen Geving/John Shuster (Duluth, MN) qualified for the 2023 USA Curling Mixed Doubles National Championship playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-5 against Sarah Anderson/Andrew Stopera (Minneapolis, MN). of the 2023 USA Curling Mixed Doubles National Championship in Kalamazoo, Michigan;

Geving/Shuster finished 5-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Geving/Shuster defeated Harley Rohrbacher/Vincent Scebbi (Cleveland, OH) 10-2, then won 9-0 against Clare Moores/Lance Wheeler (Golden, CO) and 5-3 against Regan Birr/Todd Birr (Ham Lake, MN). Geving/Shuster went on to lose 7-6 against Vicky Persinger/Christopher Plys (Fairbanks, AK). Geving/Shuster lost 8-6 to Rebecca Hamilton/Matt Hamilton (McFarland, WI) where Geving/Shuster responded with a 9-6 win over Kim Rhyme/Jason Smith (Minneapolis, MN). Geving/Shuster won 13-2 against Melissa Fountain/Tony Kot (Lafayette, CO) in their final qualifying round match.

Geving/Shuster earned 18.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the USA Curling Mixed Doubles National Championship. For week 31 of the event schedule, Geving/Shuster did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Geving/Shuster ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
