Niclas Perem (Gothenburg, SWE) finished 1-3 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Perem lost 9-3 to Fredrik Nyman (Solleftea, SWE), then responded with a 6-5 win over Anders Westerberg (Sundbyberg, SWE). Perem went on to lose 8-7 against Johnny Eriksson (Silverstenen, SWE). Perem lost 9-0 to Fredrik Julius (Sundbyberg, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

Perem earned 1.313 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 27 of the event schedule, Perem did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
