Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO) won 6-2 over Ross Whyte (Stirling, SCO) in the Final of the Stu Sells Oakville Tankard, held September 8 - 10 at the Oakville Curling Club in Oakville, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Mouat won 5-1 over John Shuster (Duluth , MN) in the semifinals of the Stu Sells Oakville Tankard in Oakville, Ontario, Canada; and won 6-5 over Korey Dropkin (Duluth, MN) in the quarterfinals. of the Stu Sells Oakville Tankard in Oakville, Ontario, Canada;

Mouat finished 4-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mouat defeated Owen Purcell (Halifax, NS) 9-3, then won 6-3 against Tanner Horgan (Sudbury, NONT) and 4-1 against Sam Mooibroek (Whitby, ON). Mouat won 7-1 against Greg Smith (St. John's , NL) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Stu Sells Oakville Tankard Championship title, Mouat earned 41.250 world rankings points along with the $8,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 1st place overall with 452.500 total points. Mouat ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 86.250 points earned so far this season.
