Emily Riley/Jesse Mullen (Montreal, QC) lost 8-0 to Kayla MacMillan/Sterling Middleton (Vancouver, BC) in the Final of the Summer Series, held August 17 - 20 in St-Felicien, Quebec. To advance to the championship game, Riley/Mullen won 7-6 over Nancy Martin/Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals of the Summer Series in St-Felicien, Quebec; and won 8-4 over Melissa Adams/Alex Robichaud (Moncton, NB) in the quarterfinals. of the Summer Series in St-Felicien, Quebec;

Riley/Mullen finished 3-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Riley/Mullen lost 10-2 to Olivia Jones/Dustin Mikush (Saskatoon, SK), then responded with a 8-4 win over Valerie Tanguay/Denis Robichaud (Saguenay, QC). Riley/Mullen won 6-4 against Lauren Cheal/Greg Cheal (Sherbrooke, QC), then won 7-2 against Kelly Tremblay/Pierre Lanoue (Boucherville, MTL) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Summer Series, Riley/Mullen take home 24.750 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN prize, remaining in 806th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 96.564 total points. Riley/Mullen ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 24.750 points earned so far this season.
