To advance to the championship game, Cotter/Cotter won 8-5 over Laura Walker/Kirk Muyres (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the Mixed Doubles Super Series - Chilliwack in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada; and won 6-3 over Sarah Wark/Kyler Kleibrink (Victoria, BC) in the quarterfinals.
Cotter/Cotter finished 5-0 in the 21-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cotter/Cotter defeated Jennifer Armstrong/Tyrel Griffith (Kelowna, BC) 8-2, then won 7-2 against Jorja Kopytko/Coburn Fadden (Vernon, BC) and 7-4 against Nancy Martin/Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK). Cotter/Cotter won 5-4 against Alex Ashton/Kris Gira (Calgary , AB), then won 7-4 against Ashley Mallett/Nicholas Meister (Langley, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Mixed Doubles Super Series - Chilliwack, Cotter/Cotter take home 27.500 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN prize, moving up 8 spots the World Ranking Standings into 806th place overall with 83.000 total points.
