Kaare/Lill Runner-Up at ISS Mixed Doubles Lodz

Karoliine Kaare/Harri Lill (Tallinn, EST) lost 10-4 to Kristin Moen Skaslien/Magnus Nedregotten (Oslo, NOR) in the Final of the ISS Mixed Doubles Lodz, held November 9 - 12 at the Curling Lodz in Lodz, Poland. To advance to the championship game, Kaare/Lill won 8-4 over Adela Walczak/Andrzej Augustyniak (Lodz, POL) in the semifinals of the ISS Mixed Doubles Lodz in Lodz, Poland; and won 7-6 over Lotta Immonen/Markus Sipila (Espoo, FIN) in the quarterfinals. of the ISS Mixed Doubles Lodz in Lodz, Poland;

Kaare/Lill finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kaare/Lill defeated Angnieszka Wojtysiak/Jakub Dabrowski (Lodz, POL) 13-3, then won 6-3 against Lea Hueppi/Jonas Weiss (Dubendorf, SUI). Kaare/Lill went on to lose 9-2 against Skaslien/Nedregotten. Kaare/Lill responded with a 10-4 win over Martina Horakova/Tomas Horak (Prague, CZE). Kaare/Lill won 9-4 against Marietta Dabrowska/Lukasz Tomaszek (Swidnica, POL) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the ISS Mixed Doubles Lodz, Kaare/Lill take home 16.500 world rankings points along with the $1,793CDN prize. For week 16 of the event schedule, Kaare/Lill did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Kaare/Lill ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
