CHAMPION: Han/Zou Wins Omnium Services Financiers Richard April

Yu Han/Qiang Zou (Beijing, CHN) won 5-4 over Ying Yang/Jiafeng Tian (Beijing, CHN) in the Final of the Omnium Services Financiers Richard April, held November 10 - 12 in Riviere-du-Loup, Quebec. To advance to the championship game, Han/Zou won 8-2 over Lauren Cheal/Greg Cheal (Sherbrooke, QC) in the semifinals of the Omnium Services Financiers Richard April in Riviere-du-Loup, Quebec; and won 9-1 over Kelly Tremblay/Pierre Lanoue (Boucherville, MTL) in the quarterfinals.

Han/Zou finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Han/Zou defeated Cheal/Cheal 7-6, then won 6-5 against Tyler Parmiter/Ronnie Burgess (Fredericton, NB) and 11-3 against Lisianne Ouellet/Guillaume Rousseau (RiviÃ¨re-du-Loup, QC) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Omnium Services Financiers Richard April Championship title, Han/Zou earned 22.500 world rankings points along with the $800CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 806th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 33.126 total points. Han/Zou ranks 19th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 33.126 points earned so far this season.
