Selena Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) won 6-5 over Kayla Skrlik (Calgary, AB) in the Final Sturmay advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the Sentinel Storage Alberta Scotties, held January 23 - 28 in St. Paul, Alberta.

Sturmay finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sturmay defeated Gracelyn Richards (Edmonton, AB) 10-1, then won 10-9 against Nicky Kaufman (Edmonron, AB) and 8-1 against Jodi Vaughan (Lethbridge, AB). Sturmay went on to lose 8-7 against Skrlik. Sturmay responded with a 8-5 win over Michelle Hartwell (Sherwood Park, AB). Sturmay won 8-5 against Jessie Hunkin (Spruce Grove, AB), then won 9-4 against Serena Gray-Withers (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Sentinel Storage Alberta Scotties Championship title, Sturmay earned 22.500 world rankings points. Sturmay move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 14.25 points improving upon their best 7 results so far this season, ranking 20th overall with 161.953 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Sturmay ranks 15th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 142.125 points earned so far this season.
