In their opening game, Stoyan lost 12-0 to 's Irina Riazanova, then responded with a 11-6 win over Ana Klepic (Slavija, BIH). Stoyan went on to lose 10-4 against Lucrezia Grande (Pinerolo, ITA). Stoyan lost 9-3 to Adela Walczak (Todz, POL) in their final qualifying round match.

Stoyan earned 0.563 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins.
