Takumi Maeda (Kitami, JPN) run at the MCT Challenge came to an end in the semifinals with a 9-2 loss to Jed Brundidge (Chaska, MN). of the MCT Challenge in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada;

Maeda finished 3-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Maeda defeated Sean Grassie (Winnipeg, MB) 6-5, then won 10-2 against Brundidge and 6-2 against Riley Smith (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

Maeda earned 3.625 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the MCT Challenge. For week 7 of the event schedule, Maeda did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 91st to 92nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 36.000 total points.
