Eunjung Kim (Gangneung, KOR) lost 7-6 to Ikue Kitazawa (Nagano, JPN) in the Final of the Karuizawa International, held December 1 - 3 at the Karuizawa Curling Club in Karuizawa, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Kim won 6-2 over Sayaka Yoshimura (Sapporo, JPN) in the semifinals

Kim finished 3-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim defeated Honoka Sasaki (Kitami, JPN) 11-2, then won 8-2 against Kitazawa and 6-3 against Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Karuizawa International, Kim take home 24.750 world rankings points along with the $3,670CDN prize. Kim move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 9.954 points improving upon their best 6 results so far this season, ranking 11th overall with 214.641 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
