In their opening game, Backe/Sargon defeated Marijke McDonald/Connar Croteau (Victoria, BC) 8-4, then won 7-6 against Janie Berg/Dan Simon (Portland, OR) and 8-2 against Gina Triolo/Erik Sanders (Seattle, WA) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Parksville Double Doubles Spiel Championship title, Backe/Sargon earned 3.750 world rankings points along with the $1,200CDN first prize cheque. For week 17 of the event schedule, Backe/Sargon did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Backe/Sargon ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
