To advance to the championship game, Arsenault won 6-4 over Robert Desjardins (Saguenay, QC) in the semifinals of the Challenge de Curling Desjardins in Clermont, Quebec; and won 6-4 over Francois Roberge (Levis, QC) in the quarterfinals. of the Challenge de Curling Desjardins in Clermont, Quebec;
Arsenault finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Arsenault defeated Roberge 6-4, then won 8-5 against Owen Purcell (Halifax, NS) and 8-3 against Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Challenge de Curling Desjardins Championship title, Arsenault earned 18.750 world rankings points along with the $8,000CDN first prize cheque. Arsenault move up 18 spots after posting a net gain of 16.875 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 53rd overall with 63.594 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Arsenault ranks 50th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 38.750 points earned so far this season.
