Burgess went on to lose 7-5 against Jackson Dubinsky (Thunder Bay, NONT). Burgess lost 5-3 to Trevor Bonot (Thunder Bay, NONT) where Burgess responded with a 7-1 win over Andrew Sinclair (Thunder Bay, NONT). Burgess won 6-4 against Ben Mikkelsen (Thunder Bay, NONT). Burgess went on to lose 6-3 against Ron Rosengren (Thunder Bay, NONT). Burgess responded with a 7-6 win over Zach Warkentin (Thunder Bay, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.

Burgess earned 1.500 world rankings points for their Top 7 finish in the TBayTel Major League of Curling, moving up 116 spots the World Ranking Standings into 329th place overall with 2.250 total points. Burgess ranks 288th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.250 points earned so far this season.
