Ling-Yue Hung (Hong Kong, HKG) finished 3-4 in the 26-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hung defeated Lina Opel (Kent, ENG) 7-5, then went on to lose 7-4 against Estefana Quintero (Mexico City, MEX). Hung lost 9-5 to Csilia Halasz (Budapest, HUN). Hung lost 11-2 to Lena Kapp (Fuessen, GER) where Hung responded with a 10-6 win over Liza Gregori (Ljubjana, SLO). Hung won 13-4 against Farzana Hussain (Georgetown, GUY). Hung went on to lose 10-6 against Courtney Smith (Naseby, NZL) in their final qualifying round match.

Hung earned 5.000 world rankings points for their Top 7 finish in the World Mixed Doubles Qualification Event 2023, remaining in 806th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 3.374 after improving upon their best so far this season. Hung ranks 132nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 5.000 points earned so far this season.
