Ching Nam Cheng (Hong Kong, HKG) finished 1-5 in the 22-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cheng lost 8-6 to Wesley Wendling (Wausau, USA), droppimg another game, 8-7 to Vitor De Melo (Sao Paulo, BRA). Cheng lost 8-5 to Roberts Buncis (Riga, LAT). Cheng lost 9-2 to Jacob Schmidt (Hvidovre, DEN) where Cheng responded with a 9-5 win over Benjamin Holcombe (Kent, ENG). Cheng went on to lose 5-4 against William Becker (Naseby, NZL) in their final qualifying round match.

Cheng earned 0.375 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 22 of the event schedule, Cheng did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Cheng ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
