Brissette/Middleton Runner-Up at BC Mixed Doubles Championship

Gabby Brissette/Sterling Middleton (North Delta, BC) lost 10-2 to Taylor Reese-Hansen/Corey Chester (Victoria, BC) in the Final of the BC Mixed Doubles Championship, held December 27 - 31 at the Victoria Curling Club in Victoria, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Brissette/Middleton won 10-3 over Jaelyn Cotter/Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC) in the semifinals of the BC Mixed Doubles Championship in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada; and won 9-3 over Emily Bowles/Connor Deane (North Delta, BC) in the quarterfinals. of the BC Mixed Doubles Championship in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada;

Brissette/Middleton finished 4-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brissette/Middleton defeated Courtney Woo/Daniel Wenzek (New Westminster, BC) 12-3, then won 8-4 against Maia Belway/Dave Belway (Salmon Arm, BC) and 12-4 against Mariah Coulombe/Zane Bartlett (Victoria, BC). Brissette/Middleton won 9-6 against Leah Johnston/Andrew Johnston (Victoria, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the BC Mixed Doubles Championship, Brissette/Middleton take home 8.250 world rankings points. For week 23 of the event schedule, Brissette/Middleton did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Brissette/Middleton ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
