Symonds went on to lose 8-7 against McNeil Lamswood. Symonds lost 7-5 to Nathan Young (St. Johns, NL) where Symonds responded with a 6-2 win over Trent Skanes (St. John's, NL). Symonds won 5-4 against Parker Tipple (St. John's, NL), then won 8-4 against Dave Thomas (Port-aux-Basques, NL) and 7-6 against Young in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Newfoundland & Labrador Tankard Championship title, Symonds earned 3.750 world rankings points, moving up 14 spots the World Ranking Standings into 131st place overall with 18.000 total points. Symonds ranks 160th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 9.250 points earned so far this season.
