In their opening game, Eden lost 9-4 to Joel Westerberg (Sundbyberg, SWE), then responded with a 9-4 win over Lars Ahlberg (Sundbyberg, SWE). Eden went on to lose 10-3 against Claes Mattsson (Jonkoping, SWE). Eden lost 8-4 to Claes Eriksson (Uppsala, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

Eden earned 0.375 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins.
