Marc Pfister (Manilla, PHI) won 9-3 over Abylay Zhuzbay (Almaty, KAZ) in the Final of the Pan-Continental Championships -- B-Division, held October 27 - November 2 in Lacombe, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Pfister won 6-1 over Jason Chang (Hong Kong, HKG) in the semifinals of the Pan-Continental Championships -- B-Division in Lacombe, Alberta;
Pfister finished 10-0 in the 11-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Pfister defeated Amar Masalmeh (Riyadh, KSA) 15-0, then won 10-2 against P.N. Raju (Hyderabad, IN) and 18-2 against Harold Woods (Accra, NGR). Pfister won 12-1 against Nasser Alyafei (Doha, QAT), then won 11-2 against Jonathan Vargas (San Juan, PR) and 8-1 against Marcelo Cabral de Mello (Sao Paolo, BRA). Pfister won 7-5 against Ian Robertson (Kingston, JAM), then won 16-0 against Haggai Odhiambo Ogak (Nairobi, KEN) and 9-4 against Chang. Pfister won 6-5 against Zhuzbay in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Pan-Continental Championships -- B-Division Championship title, Pfister earned 3.750 world rankings points. For week 14 of the event schedule, Pfister did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Pfister ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
