Tiina Suuripaa/Tomi Rantamaki (Lohja, FIN) finished 9-3 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Suuripaa/Rantamaki defeated Lotta Immonen/Markus Sipila (Espoo, FIN) 8-4, then won 10-3 against Janina Lindstroem/Peter Lindstroem (Aland, FIN) and 7-3 against Ulla Saastamoinen/Mikko Saastamoinen (Jeonsuu, FIN). Suuripaa/Rantamaki went on to lose 8-4 against Susanna Santti/Iikko Santti (Tampere, FIN). Suuripaa/Rantamaki responded with a 8-4 win over Saastamoinen/Saastamoinen. Suuripaa/Rantamaki won 6-4 against Lindstroem/Lindstroem, then won 8-6 against Immonen/Sipila and 8-3 against Santti/Santti. Suuripaa/Rantamaki won 7-3 against Saastamoinen/Saastamoinen, then won 1-0 against Lindstroem/Lindstroem. Suuripaa/Rantamaki went on to lose 5-3 against Immonen/Sipila. Suuripaa/Rantamaki lost 8-7 to Santti/Santti in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Finnish Mixed Doubles Championship, Suuripaa/Rantamaki take home 2.750 world rankings points. For week 29 of the event schedule, Suuripaa/Rantamaki did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Suuripaa/Rantamaki ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
