Germany's Andy Kapp won 6-5 over Switzerland's Christof Schwaller in the Final of the Swiss Cup Basel, held October 1 - 4, 2010 in Basel, Switzerland. To advance to the championship game, Germany's Andy Kapp won 6-4 over Switzerland's Alexander Attinger in the semifinals of the 2010 Swiss Cup Basel in Basel, Switzerland; and won 7-2 over Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in the quarterfinals. of the 2010 Swiss Cup Basel in Basel, Switzerland;
 
Germany's Andy Kapp finished 5-1 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Germany's Andy Kapp defeated Hungary's Gyeorgy Nagy 8-4, then won 6-3 against Switzerland's Pascal Hess. Germany's Andy Kapp went on to lose 7-6 against Sweden's Per Carlsen. Germany's Andy Kapp responded with a 9-7 win over Switzerland's Beno Arnold.
