Murdoch lost 4-3 to Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO) where Murdoch responded with a 8-3 win over Ally Fraser (Perth, SCO). Murdoch went on to lose 6-3 against Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.
