Brad Law (Regina, SK) 10-0, then won 7-1 against Don Walchuk (Edmonton, AB) and 8-7 against Brock Virtue (Calgary, AB). Egger went on to lose 8-6 against Joel Jordison (Moose Jaw, SK). Egger responded with a 7-6 win over Eugene Hritzuk (Saskatoon, SK). Egger went on to lose 9-5 against Virtue. Egger lost 5-4 to Randy Bryden (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Egger earned 3.060 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 8 spots the World Ranking Standings into 83rd place overall with 24.338 total points. Egger ranks 60th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 18.490 points earned so far this season.
