Brent Pierce (New Westminster, BC) qualified for the 2010 Point Optical Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-2 against Dave Elias (Winnipeg, MB). of the 2010 Point Optical Curling Classic in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada;
 
Pierce finished 4-2 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Pierce lost 6-4 to Jason Ackerman (Regina, SK), then responded with a 6-1 win over Sean Geall (New Westminster, BC). Pierce went on to lose 7-3 against Brock Virtue (Calgary, AB). Pierce responded with a 8-4 win over Jerod Roland (Minot, ND). Pierce won 6-3 against Jeff Hartung (Langenburg, SK), then won 5-1 against Brent Bawel (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Pierce earned 9.180 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Point Optical Curling Classic. For week 12 of the event schedule, Pierce did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Pierce ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
