Bernard finished 4-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bernard defeated Lisa Johnson (Edmonton, AB) 6-3, then went on to lose 8-3 against Brenda Doroshuk (Calgary, AB). Bernard responded with a 4-2 win over Michelle Corbeil (Lloydminster, AB). Bernard won 8-2 against Crystal Webster (Calgary, AB), then won 7-1 against Jessie Kaufman (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the The Shoot-Out, Bernard take home 21.400 world rankings points along with the $2,700CDN prize, moving up 8 spots the World Ranking Standings into 11th place overall with 76.587 total points.
