Markus Hoiberg (Oppdal, NOR) qualified for the 2013 StuSells Toronto Tankard playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-2 against Manitoba's Mike McEwen.

Hoiberg finished 4-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hoiberg defeated Ontario's Pat Ferris 5-2, then went on to lose 9-7 against Manitoba's Mike McEwen. Hoiberg responded with a 7-5 win over Jake Higgs (Glencoe, ON). Hoiberg went on to lose 9-5 against Newfoundland / Labrador's Brad Gushue. Hoiberg responded with a 6-5 win over Robert Desjardins (Saguenay, QC). Hoiberg won 4-3 against Ontario's Jake Walker in their final qualifying round match.

Hoiberg earned 15.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the StuSells Toronto Tankard, moving up 113 spots the World Ranking Standings into 66th place overall with 18.050 total points. Hoiberg ranks 30th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 15.000 points earned so far this season.
