Currie responded with a 7-6 win over Mark Willmert (Blaine, MN). Currie won 6-2 against Korey Dropkin (Southborough, MA), then won 3-1 against Cory Ward (St. Paul, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Currie earned 2.325 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the FSCC U.S. Open of Curling, moving up 8 spots the World Ranking Standings into 93rd place overall with 16.415 total points. Currie ranks 66th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 13.565 points earned so far this season.
