McCormick finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McCormick defeated Sarah Anderson (Philadelphia, PA) 9-6, then won 8-1 against Todd Birr (Coon Rapids, MN). McCormick went on to lose 7-4 against Scott Ramsay (winnipeg, MB). McCormick responded with a 10-2 win over Ryan Berg (West Fargo, ND). McCormick won 5-3 against Courtney George (St. Paul, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
McCormick earned 2.325 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the FSCC U.S. Open of Curling. McCormick move up 6 spots after posting a net gain of 3.875 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 63rd overall with 27.470 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
