Adam Casey (Charlottetown, PEI) finished 2-3 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Casey lost 9-7 to Trevor Bonot (Thunder Bay, NONT), then responded with a 7-2 win over Don Bowser (Kingston , ON). Casey won 8-3 against Northern Ontario's Mike Jakubo. Casey went on to lose 5-2 against Newfoundland / Labrador's Brad Gushue. Casey lost 9-6 to Ontario's Peter Corner in their final qualifying round match.
