Brown finished 2-2 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brown defeated Todd Birr (Blaine, MN) 7-1, then went on to lose 4-2 against Alex Forrest (Winnipeg, MB). Brown lost 5-3 to Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) where Brown responded with a 5-4 win over Colin Koivula (Thunder Bay, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the ASHAM U.S. Open of Curling, Brown take home 38.194 world rankings points along with the $6,949CDN prize, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 25th place overall with 172.579 total points.
