To advance to the championship game, Scheidegger won 6-1 over Briane Meilleur (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2016 Curlers Corner Autumn Gold Curling Classic in Calgary, Alberta, Canada; and won 7-1 over Selena Sturmay (Calgary, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 Curlers Corner Autumn Gold Curling Classic in Calgary, Alberta, Canada;

Scheidegger finished 5-1 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Scheidegger lost 6-5 to Alberta's Jodi Marthaller, then responded with a 10-2 win over Jie Mei (HARBIN, CHN). Scheidegger won 7-5 against Cathy Overton-Clapham (Winnipeg, MB), then won 7-4 against Tori Koana (Yamanashi, JPN) and 4-3 against Min Ji Kim (gyeongido, KOR). Scheidegger won 5-4 against Shannon Birchard (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Curlers Corner Autumn Gold Curling Classic Championship title, Scheidegger earned 62.572 world rankings points along with the $14,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 8 of the event schedule, Scheidegger did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Scheidegger ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
