Brian Lewis (Ottawa, ON) qualified for the 2017 The Burnt Rock Curling Co. Carp Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 10-1 against Steve Allen (Ottawa, ON). of the 2017 The Burnt Rock Curling Co. Carp Classic in Carp, Ontario;

Lewis finished 1-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lewis lost 8-2 to Martin Patry (Buckingham, QC), droppimg another game, 8-6 to Mark Homan (Baie d'Urfe, QC) where Lewis responded with a 8-1 win over Trent Skanes (St. John's, NL) in their final qualifying round match.

Lewis earned 5.331 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the The Burnt Rock Curling Co. Carp Classic, moving up 20 spots the World Ranking Standings into 140th place overall with 27.6 total points. Lewis ranks 111th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 17.401 points earned so far this season.
