Alina Kovaleva (Saint-Petersburg, RUS) qualified for the LGT World Women's Curling Championship playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 11-3 against Seina Nakajima (Nagano, JPN). of the LGT World Women's Curling Championship in Silkeborg, Denmark;
 
Kovaleva finished 9-3 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kovaleva defeated Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI) 11-5, then won 7-6 against Madeleine Dupont (Hvidovre, DEN). Kovaleva went on to lose 7-6 against Min Ji Kim (Chuncheon City, KOR). Kovaleva responded with a 8-4 win over Nakajima. Kovaleva won 8-7 against Jamie Sinclair (Chaska, USA), then won 9-7 against Jie Mei (Harbin, CHN) and 9-8 against Oona Kauste (Aland, FIN). Kovaleva went on to lose 9-4 against Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE). Kovaleva responded with a 7-4 win over Daniela Jentsch (Fuessen, GER). Kovaleva went on to lose 9-6 against Chelsea Carey (Edmonton, CAN). Kovaleva responded with a 7-4 win over Sophie Jackson (Stirling, SCO). Kovaleva won 9-4 against Iveta Stasa-Sarsune (Riga, LAT) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Kovaleva earned 33.428 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the LGT World Women's Curling Championship, remaining in 11th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 14.421 after improving upon their best so far this season.
