Glukhov finished 3-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Glukhov defeated Scott Dunnam (Philadelphia, PA) 10-3, then went on to lose 6-2 against Marc Pfister (Adelboden, SUI). Glukhov responded with a 7-1 win over German Doronin (Moscow, RUS). Glukhov won 10-5 against Timofeev in their final qualifying round match.
