Corbett went on to lose 5-2 against Rich Ruohonen (Chaska, USA). Corbett lost 6-4 to Scott Dunnam (Dresher, PA). Corbett lost 7-5 to Todd Birr (Blaine, MN). Corbett lost 9-4 to Steven Birklid (Seattle, WA) where Corbett responded with a 9-6 win over Jed Brundidge (St. Paul, MN). Corbett went on to lose 9-0 against John Shuster (Duluth, USA) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Corbett earned 5.919 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins.
