Sieg won 11-0 against Jacobson, then won 6-3 against Craig Halliday (Denver, CO) and 7-5 against Jeff Wright (Libertyville, IL). Sieg won 4-2 against Ross Litman (Duluth, MN). Sieg went on to lose 8-7 against Philip DeVore (Superior, WI) in their final qualifying round match.
