Sean Geall (New Westminster, BC) won 5-3 over Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC) in the Final of the King Cash Spiel, held September 13 - 15, 2019 at the Golden Ears Curling Club in Maple Ridge, Canada. Geall finished 4-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Geall defeated Jason Peckham (Vancouver, BC) 7-1, then won 5-4 against Jeff Richard (Kelowna, BC) and 8-2 against Rob Dennis (Delta, BC). Geall won 7-6 against Neil Dangerfield ( Victoria, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the King Cash Spiel Championship title, Geall earned 19.807 world rankings points along with the $4,500CDN first prize cheque. Geall move up 5 spots after posting a net gain of 10.46 points improving upon their best 2 results so far this season, ranking 57th overall with 74.039 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Geall ranks 39th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 15.148 points earned so far this season.
