Zappone responded with a 11-2 win over Dilsat Yildiz (Eruzurum, TUR). Zappone won 8-6 against Elina Virtaala (Hyvinkaa, FIN), then won 10-5 against Marianne Rorvik (Oslo, NOR) and 11-2 against Adriana Camarena (Mexico City, MEX) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Women's World Qualification Event, Zappone take home 12.375 world rankings points. Zappone move up 16 spots after posting a net gain of 11.318 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 76th overall with 47.461 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
