Mayu Minami (Sapporo, JPN) lost 9-6 to Japan's Momoha Tabata in the Final of the Hokkaido Curling Championships, held January 12 - 17, 2022 in Hokkaido, Japan.

Minami finished 7-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Minami defeated Japan's Mizuki Tmura 5-4, then won 7-5 against Yuuna Takahashi (Nayoro, JPN) and 9-5 against Momono Shirahata (Kitami, JPN). Minami won 8-5 against Mari Motohashi (Kitami, JPN), then won 7-2 against Azuki Akimoto (Sapporo, JPN) and 6-2 against Japan's Momoha Tabata.
