Motohashi won 5-4 against Miyu Tanaka (Obihiro, JPN), then won 7-4 against Japan's Momoha Tabata in their final qualifying round match.

Motohashi earned 2.869 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Hokkaido Curling Championships, moving up 55 spots the World Ranking Standings into 186th place overall with 3.562 total points.
