In their opening game, Kleiter lost 5-3 to John Epping (Toronto, ON), droppimg another game, 7-4 to Mike McEwen (Toronto, ON) where Kleiter responded with a 10-3 win over Dallan Muyres (Saskatoon , SK). Kleiter won 5-4 against Scott Dunnam (Philadelphia, PA), then won 6-2 against Jacques Gauthier (Victoria, BC). Kleiter went on to lose 5-3 against Tanner Horgan (Sudbury, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
