In their opening game, Yoshimura defeated Eun ji Gim (Uijeongbu, KOR) 4-2, then won 5-4 against Seungyoun Ha (Chuncheon , KOR) and 6-3 against Schwaller. Yoshimura won 6-3 against Laurie St-Georges (Montreal, QC), then won 8-2 against Erin Morrissey (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
