To advance to the championship game, Morozumi won 7-4 over Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2023 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 2 in Niagara Falls, Ontario; and won 9-5 over Ryan Wiebe (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2023 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 2 in Niagara Falls, Ontario;
Morozumi finished 2-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Morozumi lost 8-4 to Cameron Bryce (Border, SCO), then responded with a 8-2 win over Marco Hoesli (Glarus, SUI). Morozumi won 7-5 against Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK). Morozumi went on to lose 9-4 against Catlin Schneider (Victoria, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 2, Morozumi take home 30.250 world rankings points along with the $7,500CDN prize. Morozumi move up 6 spots after posting a net gain of 17.234 points improving upon their best 4 results so far this season, ranking 18th overall with 166.578 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
