Daniel Casper (Chaska, MN) won 6-2 over Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) in the Final of the HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 2, held October 17 - 22, 2023 in Niagara Falls, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Casper won 8-3 over Mike McEwen (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals of the 2023 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 2 in Niagara Falls, Ontario; and won 7-4 over ByeongJin Jeong (Seoul, KOR) in the quarterfinals.
Casper finished 2-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Casper defeated Marco Hoesli (Glarus, SUI) 4-3, then went on to lose 7-2 against Cameron Bryce (Border, SCO). Casper responded with a 6-5 win over Catlin Schneider (Victoria, BC). Casper went on to lose 8-7 against Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 2 Championship title, Casper earned 41.250 world rankings points along with the $9,500CDN first prize cheque. Casper move up 8 spots after posting a net gain of 25.297 points improving upon their best 4 results so far this season, ranking 17th overall with 169.016 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Casper ranks 11th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 89.250 points earned so far this season.
