Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) won 6-3 over Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK) in the Final of the Pumps and Pressure Red Deer Curling Classic, held November 17 - 20, 2023 in Red Deer, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Koe won 4-3 over Mike McEwen (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals of the 2023 Pumps and Pressure Red Deer Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta; and won 6-5 over Riku Yanagisawa (Karuizawa, JPN) in the quarterfinals.
Koe finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Koe defeated Ryan Parent (Calgary, AB) 9-2, then won 6-5 against Kleiter to advance to the A-Qualifier where they 7-2 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Pumps and Pressure Red Deer Curling Classic Championship title, Koe earned 45.000 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 8th place overall with 284.625 total points. Koe ranks 7th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 131.500 points earned so far this season.
