Simon Granbom (Gavle, SWE) qualified for the 2024 Sun City Cup playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-4 against Wouter Gosgens (Zoetermeer, NED). of the 2024 Sun City Cup in Karlstad, Sweden;

Granbom finished 3-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Granbom lost 8-6 to Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE), then responded with a 8-3 win over Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE). Granbom won 8-1 against Sweden's Patric Klaremo, then won 8-2 against Jan Tanner (Zug, SUI). Granbom went on to lose 7-1 against Fabio Ribotta (Pinerolo, ITA) in their final qualifying round match.

Granbom earned 9.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Sun City Cup, moving up 49 spots the World Ranking Standings into 110th place overall with 18.625 total points. Granbom ranks 110th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 18.625 points earned so far this season.
