Allison Nimik (Elmvale, ON) qualified for the 2011 Sun Life Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-2 against Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB). of the 2011 Sun Life Classic in Brantford, Ontario;

Nimik finished 5-2 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Nimik defeated Patti Lank (Lewiston, NY) 8-5, then won 5-4 against Robyn Silvernagle (Meadow Lake, SK). Nimik went on to lose 8-2 against Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, ON). Nimik lost 6-1 to Jones where Nimik responded with a 8-5 win over Chrissy Cadorin (Hamilton, ON). Nimik won 7-0 against Leslie Bishop (Sarnia, ON), then won 6-3 against Heather Nedohin (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Nimik earned 15.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Sun Life Classic, moving up 9 spots the World Ranking Standings into 25th place overall with 56.848 total points. Nimik ranks 22nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 29.750 points earned so far this season.
